The Baja Peninsula of California extends more than 600 miles from the California border to Remote Cabo San Lucas at the tip. The Pacific Coast has some of the best surfing around. There are tourist destinations and remote spots you have where Gringos are a rarity.
Waves have been ridden in Mexico since the 1960's but many spots are still relatively uncrowded. The further from the border you get, the less crowds you have. Breaks like Calafia and Salsipuedes are great when the swells are big.
